Zed Skimboards was born in 1998 and raised in the coastal waters off Vancouver Island. We have been building skimboards since before skimboarding was even a sport. Over the past years, we have learned many things and not just how to build a damn good board. When we trek through temperate rainforests in the snow to find a hidden bar or wake-up on the sand next to a perfect curling shorie, we see how truly fortunate we are to be skimboarders.

This year's line shows the evolution of skimboarding. Our flatland boards now have 3 different cores; for the grommies it's a Poplar core, intermediate boards are running a Birch core, and for hardcore's it's 100% CANADIAN MAPLE! All our flatground boards are finished with the DuraLam Base. Once again, our foam boards are pushing the technological envelope with construction methods utilized from kiteboarding, snowboarding, and surfing. We had great success with last year's line, and we're looking forward to extending it in the near future.
