Since the Spring of 2003, the Woodpile Collective's collaborative artistic history has been consistne and prolific.  The collectives's pieces can be found both in conventional gallery settings, and asunexpected public "Art Drops".

Sifting influence from traditional and contemporary arts, abstraction, and decomposition, island envirnonment and urban conflic, the Woodpile create works that are inconceivable yet strangly familiar.

The process of their collaboration is a free flowing and always open to another's re-interpretation.  As the step up to the canvas they pain as one.  Six hands and three minds processing one another's marks working in the moment, the painting unfolds like a conversation between friends.  The process is rooted at the core of the Woodpile and all it's creative endeavors.

The Woodpile Collective have been friends of Zed Skimboards since it's inception.  The collaborative artists have constributed to many of the Zed graphics in previous year, however this is the first year that all of the artists have painted boards together.

Founding members Shawn O'keef, Blythe Hailey, Sean McLaughlin reside in Victoria B.C. Canada.
